How Long Are the Programs?

Most programs at WTC can be completed in one school year. Many of our programs are competency-based, meaning students progress as their skills improve.

What Are the Costs?

Adult students pay tuition and lab fees, as well as purchase books, access codes, uniforms, safety equipment, and tools as required per program. Tuition is paid on a per semester basis for most programs. The Florida Legislature establishes the tuition for postsecondary centers on an annual basis.

WTC follows Title XLVIII Section 1009.21, Florida Statutes, which allows U.S. citizens and residents for tuition purposes if the applicant or the dependent applicant’s parent/legal guardian has been a legal resident of the state for at least 12 months preceding registration.

Documentation proving Florida residency that meets these guidelines is required at registration to receive in-state tuition. Please see your counselor for details. Nonresident tuition is higher than resident tuition. All tuition and fees are estimates and are subject to legislative and board approval.

All new students will be charged a one-time application fee. The application fee is $40. Other fees may apply. For a full description of fees, visit the WTC catalog online. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $30 for each semester. Listed costs for each program are approximate and include uniforms, books, tools, etc.

These can be found on each program’s page under the category Program Costs under the Programs tab.

Can I Earn College Credits?

Many of WTC’s programs have articulation agreements with the state’s college system. This means that depending upon the program of study, a student who completes a particular program can earn up to 15 credits toward an associate’s degree in a related field.
